NATworks Database

The NATworks database is the world's first directory of companies that develop animal-free methods, improve existing technologies or offer products and services for modern, animal-free research. The aim is to provide a comprehensive overview of suppliers and services for animal-free technologies, to connect stakeholders from science, industry and regulatory authorities, and to accelerate the transition to modern, human-relevant methods. NATworks also serves as a career platform where researchers, students and companies can find specific contacts and collaborations.

The data is automatically collected, analysed, categorised and continuously updated using artificial intelligence (AI) – based exclusively on publicly available company information. Quality control and approval are always carried out manually by scientific experts. The central criterion for inclusion in NATworks is, of course: no animal testing!

Extensive search filters and interactive diagrams enable accurate and dynamic evaluation by country, research field or endpoint.

NATworks is already listed in the European Commission's catalogue of ‘Transitional Initiatives’. These initiatives support the European Commission in its EU roadmap for animal-free chemical testing.
